About this forecast:
YY's National Corn Yield Forecast aggregates county-level predictions through production-weighted calibration. The underlying county model integrates MODIS vegetation indices, land surface temperature, and soil properties, with detrending procedures applied to account for technological advancement. Forecasts are generated at 8-day intervals from May through late October. USDA WASDE monthly forecasts (May-November) are included for benchmark comparison.
